Our centers
La Peninsula operates two early childhood centers in the South Bronx — our main office and Head Start program at 711 Manida Street in Hunts Point, and our Early Head Start and Head Start classrooms at 1054 Intervale Avenue in Longwood. Families are welcome to visit either site during regular hours.

La Peninsula grew out of the Hunts Point Coordinating Council in 1964 and, since becoming an independent organization in 1981, has expanded early childhood services across Hunts Point and Longwood — staying deeply connected to the same neighborhoods for more than six decades.
Enrollment
Families can start an application online or call either center to speak with a family worker. Both sites enroll year-round as seats become available.
