Enrollment is free and open year-round. Our family workers are available in English and Spanish to walk you through every step.
Four simple steps
How to enroll.

Start your pre-registration
Complete our short online or paper pre-registration in English or Spanish.
02
Bring in your documents
Bring proof of income, child's birth certificate, immunization record, and proof of address to either center.
03
Family orientation
Meet your assigned family worker, tour the classroom, and set your child's start date.
04
First day
Your child begins classroom life, meals, and screenings within the first 45 days.

Apply to La Peninsula
Start your pre-registration online.
Complete our family application in English or Spanish. A family worker will follow up within 2 business days to schedule a visit and review your documents. You can also apply through the NYC MySchools portal.

- How much does the program cost?
- Head Start is fully funded — there is no cost to families who meet federal income eligibility. Families above the guideline may still qualify; talk with our enrollment team.
- What ages do you serve?
- Children ages 3 through 5, prior to kindergarten entry.
- Do you offer classes in Spanish?
- Yes. Every classroom is bilingual, and every family works with a bilingual family worker.
- What hours are your centers open?
- Both centers operate a full school day, Monday through Friday, following the NYC public-school calendar with modifications. View the full school calendar.

- Yes — breakfast, lunch, and a snack are provided daily and follow USDA CACFP standards.
