Children with
special needs
Children will receive appropriate individual services in addition to the preschool education program.
Identify an evaluate needs and coordinate services to children and their families that may need extra support.
Work closely with local school districts and agencies to provide services to children with special needs,
Assist the family through referrals to locate and provide services with outside agencies.
Work with parents to ensure that they are educated about their child’s needs, and are aware of their child’s rights to a good education.
Work closely with the classroom teacher to ensure that the teacher has the knowledge and skills needed to work with special needs children.
